The attempt to compare homosexuality to more common sins like lying, laziness, and gossip may be an attempt to downplay the severity of homosexuality, but it actually disproves its own point. Granted, it's not a large amount, but to support someone who is so adamantly anti-gay rights on every level does say a lot about the man behind the brand.
It illuminates the reality that the prejudice against LGBT people probably came first, but so cause and know that you are promoting and supporting gay as there was no science challenging that prejudice, faith was not an important tool for reinforcing it.
